Targeting Lock On Problem

Recently I've been having this problem during battle. When I am engaged on a mob and mages cast on me, the game re-targets me onto the person instead of the mob. I'm still actively engaged on the mob, the game just shows me as locked onto the person, and because of this I am unable to weapon skill or do job abilities that target the mob. The only way to get myself back targeted on the mob is to manually disengage or wait for the person to/ask them to gear swap. Then they blink and my next attack re-targets the mob.

Anyone dealt with this kind of thing before? I did a file check and nothing showed on the FFXI side. Could this be a windower issue? I'm going to uninstall and reinstall windower but if anyone has any other brainwaves I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

That happens to me a occasionally but not enough to really look into it.
Yeah, aside from that I have nothing to offer but it is irritating.

Happens to me every now and then, only way to fix it has already been said afaik.
