"ARE YOU ALIVE?!" Yeah, I'm fine. "ARE YOU SURE???" No, Mom... I'm dead, this is just me as a ghost messing with you. Carbuncle.Sevourn said: » place rejected me back when i was a kid I GOT A GRUDGEEEE how do you get rejected from wcu? She probably slept through it! Shelby's a nice area, wish i had more reasons to go to that side of the state. In Newport News, VA and it felt so weird. Walls swayed, stuff on shelve shoot. To be honest I didnt think anything of it. But then how often does VA get a decent earthquake. This is being reported as the strongest earthquake to hit VA. Pretty Amazing..
What makes things better is that we have Irene to worry bout this weekend. So, we're going from earthquakes to hippies?
Thank you Savannah that helps a lot. Just sucks not being home cause I know the wife is gonna shoot me now for moving her to a hurrican / earthquake area lol. I can't win for loosing lol.

Showed my boss and he cracked up Odin.Zicdeh said: » 5.8 is a "Big Deal" on the East Coast? Out here (California) we don't get uppity over anything smaller than a 7.1. Well of course, that's Cali, you guys are all living on the edge (pun intended). But NYC - especially the incredibly cramped Manhattan area - isn't prepared for any quake more severe than what happened today. The west coast knew about the fault line and planned your infrastructure accordingly; the east coast is all "WTF mate?" omfg
it knocked the toilet paper off the counter and the cat destroyed it I don't think there's any real damage [other than that poor chair] it just shook a lot of people up.
Savannah cell phone service still work there? im getting reports it's out in Yorktown area... :(

Tell that to my toilet paper! ya the news gonna play this up big time, but only thing to be concerned on east coast is unlike the west nothign is built to withstanding any kinda earthquake since theres no real building codes requireing it.

Actually, someone from California called the radio station I was listening to and was like LOLOLOLOL The stuff with the cell phones is congestion. Verizon and AT&T said nothing was damaged. Give it awhile.
