1.18 is thm's doom? You can not lowman NMs anymore? You still waiting for SE to reduce mp cost? We mages can still bring down the sky, meow~~~
Did a few Dodore duo with friends these days. Will release a SS and part of the video of a super "happy" run. Enjoy, meow~~~ Update: Full version as well as Great Buffalo duo can be find here now. SS of our first vistory:  Video(last 9mins of a 24mins run): Actually both of us forgot the is Siphon MP before we did that happy run in the video.

I figured this was possible, especially for a duo (rather than solo).
However, the second half of the fight is painfully easy. I want to know how you handled the adds. And can it be done without resetting and giving up claim? true true. Show us the first half. For all we know You had a huge group and then disengaged and dropped down to 2 0.o
I will release the 1st part later for sure.
Did they break Dodore? He doesn't close in for his Tail TP move.

people who said that 1.18 is "THM's Doom" were HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE in the first place. Nerfing Emulate did not kill THM soloing it just added a new level of challenge to it (not that it was ever a challenge in the first place). The fact that any 1 class could solo all (at that time current) endgame NMs is a failure on SE's part anyways for making the classes unbalanced.
But I would also like to see you solo instead of duo it. Can't give much props to a duo sorry =/ yeah, it's just a balance thing. This post is not aim to show off or something like that. Just wanna let some cheese mages know that there are still a lot to do beside begging for reducing mp cost. As with solo I think Kaeko might be able to do it, since it prety much the same with Elder Mosshorn solo he did in 1.17.

Oh that's right the troll from Palamacia and yes, from the hundreds of people who have solo'd it including the THM's in my LS who did it a week after December 2011 NMs were released - I can confidently say it's not a difficult challenge regardless if I've done it or not. I have in fact duo'd it and I called for a solo as opposed to a duo. I KNOW how easy it is to duo Dodore. Just finished this duo. It's much easier than expected.
Dodore does still close in for his short-range AoE, but they're so easy to dodge that you can literally kite him in circles while resting/DoTing him to death. Honestly, he's a pushover once his adds die. General strategy seems to be: Tank adds with THM. CON+THM DoT them to death. Adds die, retreat to rest HP/MP (Dodore goes unclaimed here.) Return and finish the job. Wondering if there is a way to avoid the retreat/rest part without abusing Return to territory. Pre-patch I took down Buffalo and Haughtpox on THM but hadn't thought to try again since MP costs have been heightened. I'm sure duo THM is possible; sharing hate whilst Emulate is up. Did Dodore again last night, and this time he never attempted to use his close-range TP attacks. (He didn't seem to use any TP attacks at all...)
I vaguely remember seeing this happen pre-1.18 aswell. Perhaps there's a bug in Dodore's behavior where he forgets the adds are dead? Who knows? Either way, it's pretty easy to kill him once adds are down. Can even rest MP and what not, so long as you don't take 30mins and hit the rage timer.
