Well it looks like GMs are turning a blind eye lately unless it's involving technical issues. The community needs to step in reminding them there are people out there seeing bad players causing disturbance of game play. Do they not care? They're putting more work on the FFXIV lode stone forum than they do in game.

Here's an example:

No matter how you type out your report, it's automated. Literally!

Problem here is, if you're in a disagreement of a post on the lodestone forum and if it sounds like something 'offensive' or enough trolls of their own friends to complain they are reporting you for fun. I know this might not seem important but we need GMs to do their job. I've submitted my feed back and a detailed situation with in game behavior activities. What really bothers me there are some posts of the trolls on there in their posting history is little to none have been deleted on harsh comments.

Your support is needed, put GMs to work:

Yeah if you have issues with players in game the Blacklist feature blocks them from interacting with you. If they literally follow you around text of any kind will not be shown to you or blocked altogether. Then you can tele away or log for a moment. Its not likely you would see them often after that. Your reaction and resposes only fuel their childish behavior.

As for the forums, just avoid the ones that annoy you.

You can ignore peoples posts on forums.

However, Lodestone is a joke. Avoid that place at almost every cost, except gathering useful information from time to time.

I just check lodestone for the pages of info they make every now and then. As well as checking the forum dev tracker to see if theres any smidgen of useful information the devs are planning.

I dare not post in that forum, sheesh so many people fight there. >_>

But blacklist does prevent all forms of communication and that should solve it in-game. As for forums... just don't use forums and bam... problem solved no one bothering you.

I've still been trying to figure out why you're surprised that the mods on the forums did their job.. As far as I know, none of the official SE forums are for social purposes.. Which means you only post when you have something to add to the discussion, not when you want to try and discredit others.

Think of it like going to court, there are a ton of things you could say to someone else in the judge's presence or to the judge directly, but unless it's directly related to why you're there, no good is likely to come of it.

It's quite simple really. I don't want to go into specifics because I want the topic to remain on topic, and not what is happening in game. I'm only trying to specify that when it comes to GMs helping out they're only good for technical difficulties, but they don't when someone is violating the rules.

Black list like I said is not enough if you have a dedicated fan boy bothering you. It's the same thing that applies to the lodestone forums. I made one comment, bam, warning get's sent to my email. A player on his profile has post reference on his profile with several indirect and direct comments breaking the rules trolling or insulting.

As mentioned, it leaves me confused and conflicted as to what those moderators are thinking.

GM's are just useless for the most part and always have been like in ffxi. Sometimes you would get a helpful one who was quick to get back to you or even appear in front of you. Especially if you were having serious rmt issues.

But then the Task Force came around and pretty much everything needed to be text submitted through various channels online. GM's for most part could care less.

You'll always get an automated response and then maybe they might /tell you but they want the information to "investigate" and that's it so you get a canned reply. It's been like that in FFXI for some time and that's how it's gonna be here. Got a lot of personal replies in game first few years game was out though.

Report players and rmt, get automated reply, Someone reads your report and it gets filed.

If the problem is serious enough at that time or continues they'll take action vs that player(s) or if they can tie the same issues into the same accounts like a rmt account over time.. they'll take action after investigating.
