Well guess diabolos got an extra ??? to talk too in Batillia downs according to SE, and I also missed a step in getting the key item for a quest. o.O

Actually you just trade the 3 key items farmed from the regular goblins for a Key. Not being able to spawn those NMs again seems right to me.

Oh. Are you in the pt with them? Maybe (cause SE is stupid) it's not popping cause someone (you) in the pt has that mission completed. I dunno, that's the only thing I can think of lol.

Ninja Edit: I'd say try getting out of the pt before they try to pop it (if you were in the party).

from my understanding of your conversation with the GM. he misunderstood you entirely.

when he asked you the monster names you fought you only said the goblins that dropped the salad, and not that you had previously beaten the NM earlier. so he just assumed you were at the wrong ???.
there is only 1 ??? for the NMs tho.

If it's the goblin salad NM it is clearly stated on the wiki that the NM's can only be spawned one time if you have not defeated them, and although you keep the key item to spawn them, you cannot spawn them again. From what I read you already killed the NM. Sorry if I misunderstood too.

lol. Aphykins, I would suggest your Buddies trade in their items for the key in port jeuno, and get key items again tomorrow, since SE screwed them. :P
I however cannot guarantee that this will fix there problem.
There is however only 1 ??? to spawn the NM for the bringer of the light quest.

GM obviously must not get any information from Square-Enix to understand about how the key items, goblin salads and the fact that the NM looks like he's about to spawn, but doesn't. Almost like a glitch in the system, do to SE's major lack in updates or fixes for servers perhaps?

When you kill goblins in Batallia downs, Rolanberry Fields, and Sauromugue Champaign, you CAN obtain a key item needed to spawn the NM's in the current area.

To GET to THOSE spawn points though:
Emo icelands -> Batod
Ebay Fields -> CN -> Ebay Fields
[S] Area -> OP [S] to Sauro [S] -> GC [S] -> Sauro [S]

After obtaining each individual key item, you can progress to the certain areas used on wikipedia [like i used] to locate the "???". It does not matter which you go after first. Only that you have the Goblin key item required for each of the various lands for the current spawn. Be ready to spawn the NM's at the various locations. The Notorious Monsters may vary about level 40 or so. Soloable by any job 70+

It actually matter's not if you are in a party with people who have currently done the mission or have not done it yet. It must be a glitch in the system. I've brought 3-4 people with me who've not done it, and me myself being the only person who's completed ACP in that group of people. All 3 of them still got the spawn after killing the goblins for their own key items in the current area.

Well, They just finished Emergecny maintenance on those zones in particular, so hopefully they fixed the ???s. xD

I've been having that same problem with the ???'s in Batallia, Aphy.

Though I have not traded the key items to the chest in Jeuno for any augmented items, I have only farmed them to complete the ACP quest. I was able to pop the NMs for said quest in both Rollanberry and the Champaign, but not in Batallia, despite having the key item.

I get the same /say message in batallia that I got a the other NM's as they popped... but no NM in Batallia.

I'm assuming the ??? at F-5 is the correct one, since it's the same set of ???'s that people I know who've completed ACP used. Dont see why they would have changed the ???'s. Guess I'm just waiting 'til it gets fixed.

$10 gimmick for broken half-expansions... you know, SE could have given me this broken ***with the $16/month they get from me.

haha I knew i was right on this, I really was calling for my friends cause they were stuck. I finished it but they told me they were stuck on it all day and one of them was trying to catch up to us on the feiyen fight and I was tired of waiting for them so I GM'd to get it fixed. At least its fixed now :x

I almost feel bad for the GMs who have no iddea what theyre talking about, because when I did customer service, I usually had no idea what I was talking about. ^^
