Question:

Is anyone able to run a SINGLE GPU and set your settings to max on ffxiv?

If so, please include the card you are using.

Thank you,

Dez

I'm looking for highest settings in every category with the exception of AO. I believe my Multi is set to 8x.

I play on 450GTS i get good fps but you still going to lag in the game in city due to the game itself i hear people get less lag with a SDD it fix most of the lag issue but i just wait for the core fix lol. i play on x16 and x8 without issue.

btw just to let you know Standard and highest is the same thing. It does not matter if you have the game set for standard or highest for-

drawing quality and background drawing quality so having them both set on highest is dumb idea.

Depth of field look nice but it's not really needed. There going to be a sell on the 460gts tomrrow for 89.99$ i just wish i got that one before buying the 450gts 1week ago :(

The 460gts could play on highest but once again no need when testing the game there no real big diff with highest vs Standard at all don't even know why they called it highest should just make standard highest lol.

Well I have been playing on a HD5770 and my Buddy just got a HD6970 and he is even having issues playing on the highest settings, though he is close.

I just am going mid range and getting a HD6870 to handle what I need. Might crossfire them in the future.

Yep but justl ike i said no need to put on the highest i don't know why SE even have that there i can't see the diff on Standard -->High-->Highest they all look the same i even took pic of each one and still can't tell lol. Maybe it for small items you don't even see which make no sense to even have it high for small item like small rock ahaha or maybe it does noting and it there for lols.

Also forgot to say the game have a lot of issue with Crossfire and you can only get crossfire while full screen so if you don't use a 3 party tool you can't alt-tab so cross firing right now is pointless to SE fix it or someone find a way to fix it.

I heard that SLI does not have that issue with Full Screen.

Also, I can slightly tell the difference. It is not a big change but it is noticeable if you are looking for it.

If you have to look for it then does not matter :) it just going to lower FPS for something that you have to look and see the differences.

And yes SLI works only in fullscreen but some people due have issue trying to make it work.

GTX 470 and higher on NVIDIA's side should be enough, gf's pc has a 470 and can run FFXIV at max at 720p though, as that's her max resolution, I use a 570 and I can max everything out at full 1080p.
