Registration Codes On SE Account

How do we register a code now that we can no longer use the PoL services, I'm trying to register the Abyssea Edition on PC.

So I've been fighting with this all morning. I got to the link, entered my code for the Ultimate Collection - Abyssea edition that I bought from Steam on my reactivated account, and get the following:

You cannot add expanded services because either the maximum number of service accounts has been added/registered or there are no service accounts to which the expanded services can be added/registered.

*If you have not performed PlayOnline registration yet and have a registration code that begins with U, please select "Add new PlayOnline service account" and enter your registration code.

Does this mean I can't use the code I bought from Steam? I was trying to save money by not having to buy all three Abys individually...

Old style codes are like this:

US codes:
For POL
PVXU-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
For FFXI
FFXU-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
For Zilart

For WotG: (this one I looked on the PS2 box)

(these codes came from the XBOX box I have)

Eventually they figured out that printing that amount of codes on the game was stupid and made these single use "all in one" codes which unlock everything you don't have into your account but wastes whatever content you already have.

I suppose that's what you get when you buy the Steam version. At most you get one separated code to create the POL account and another to buy FFXI with all expansions already active. (works on a existing account to unlock all content you don't have already) I'm not really sure how the new codes work because I never had to buy one.

How many codes you got ? Two ? Three ?
If you got more than one, give the second one a try. I know that one of them is for the "Destrier Beret" hat and it should be put at an separated place (I think at FFXI page inside POL).

Thanks for your reply. I did get two codes, one was for the ultimate collection (which I got the error on) and the other was for the beret, which works fine. I really don't want to end up paying $50 for the Abys if I can avoid it. =(

Did you link your PoL account with a SE account yet? From your post it looks like that may be the problem.

I did link it - that was the first thing I did when I reactivated. :\
