Depends on how you view it.
I am not a rich man. I am not a poor man. I am just an "average joe".
I grew up in a rough neighborhood, with gangs and a lot of violence outside.
Regardless of a difficult lot in life, my parents taught me right and I stayed in school.
After school, I joined the military to straighten out my life and view on it
I also wanted to discover what to do as a career.
The military gave me more than that, it gave me a college degree as well.
Yet, through it all, I kept my dignity, my honor and my word.
Most importantly, I kept my civility.

Language seperates us from animals almost as much as a thumb does.
I don't know you in person, so I can't display this civility on a personal basis.
However, the least we can do as people, is not degrade our own language by butchering it like animals.

Yes, I slack off from time to time in various text messages with friends and family, but there is a difference.
In Spain, they use the terms Tu and Usted.
They mean the same thing, but one is formal and the other is for friends/family/people close.
Our grammatical skill should be similar.

This is only my point of view and you are free to debate it.
However, it is my opinion and I am free to have it.
