Oh automaton.

Forever alone.

Fell cleave all day long
To help the noobs get leveled
Need more time boxes

this haiku was based purely on word count, not syllables. read about haikus they are not as simple as syllable counting as japanese doesn't work by syllables. 5 7 5 word count haiku. thanx for reading it!

Wat?

Japan does work by syllables, or on, as I just read. Its just there are different styles of Haikus, and one of them doesn't go by on. Haikus are generally as simple as, 5,7,5. Or 17 syllables, and in some cases, less.

You're right, Japanese doesn't use syllables, it uses morae, which roughly correspond to syllables. Hence haiku have 5 morae - 7 morae - 5 morae in Japanese.

Who ever heard of a 5-7-5 word haiku >_>
