Account Hacked..../confused

So, my wifes account got hacked. Not like that dont happen every day. But here's something that dont happen every day, atleast I've never heard about this before.

Someone was able to hack the account, however, they did not change the password, they did not steal everything on the character and moved it to another server.

This is what they did do.

*Delete the main character

*Delete the mule

All this happen within a couple of hours only, she was only logged off the character for about 2 hours, when she logged back in the character and the mule was deleted.

She contacted GM right away, and 15 min later both the characters where back, with nothing missing on them. SE send a new POL password to her email adress.

So, tell me this is not odd? Ever heard anything like this before?

maybe someone wanted revenge? "hmmm Im not going to take the chance and send her gil/items to me incase I'll get in trouble too" o.o

I know! It's not like we arent thankful nothing was missing and that the chars got restored so fast, but still confusing as hell lol.

It's not like she had 50 mil on her char, but I got the impression that when RMT's or whoever hacks accounts, they take EVERYTHING, and what they cant sell at ah they NPC.

maybe it could of been a crazy glitch that deleted all the charcters.

Me thinks its a conspiracy, SE is proving to ppl that didn't buy the security token how much they really need one...

Sounds like it was a low level account/had little of value so they just stripped it quick and deleted it in annoyance.

Nothing was missing, and her main job on main char is RDM75, so no not a low lv account, the mule account ofcourse was low lv.

You know what is really bizarre....
