Going to drop my one and only two cents in one these threads.. I think, and hopefully this isn't biased. But I think many Christians and Atheists alike see the Bible in terms of words, and hold meaning to what it says and not what it means. Nobody is perfect, people wrote the thing so there are mistakes abound, but the general idea of being the least evil you can be is still there. Too much of anything is a bad thing, and I think that's where the extremists make their mistake. Too much interpretation isn't going to find you the answer, it might even send you down the opposite path. Not every Christian condemns others for not being Christian, I don't. For one thing, condemning others is hypocritical, because we all make decisions good or bad. Anyways. I'm still young, so I have a lot to learn when it comes to understanding others.

I believe that the whole peace love and what-not is a good message. but it was a "good" message in the religions that preceded Christianity as well.
