you know all those people with this flying pop tart kitty on it
 come to find out that kitty is made famous by none other than miku hatsune which has received zero credit for it. little inside story the original song the copied song now go ask the next person wearing a shirt or something with it on it who miku hatsune is and see if they know who that is. You didn't link the ultra extended edition. I am disappoint.
There's hardly any memes out there where people are fully aware of its origins.
An example would be.... 'cool story, bro'. Doubt most has read or even heard of The Incredible Hercules. To most people, it's just a picture of some creepy bearded dude, and to the rest, just some saying.

The Nyan Cat .gif was created by prguitarman; you're talking about the song. Plus he links to the song's origin and has stated that he wanted to license it out for use in his iOS app but couldn't. The deviantART user is apparently upset that prguitarman hasn't "mentioned" daniwellP or Hatsune Miku (which is a vocaloid, not a person), despite prguitarman linking to it. Quote: It's just a shame that the Nyan Cat is getting more credit(and money from t-shirts, merchandise, etc.) than daniwellP and Hatsune Miku, the original composers. None of the merchandise uses the song. And they're not the original composers of the .gif (Miku isn't even a real person; someone just fed "nyan" into an application a bunch of times).
