I never found any difference between Battlefields except maps >:
Excited for 3 though.
Could just be differences you'd have to spend extended time to notice, but BF2 has 2 different 'modes', when there's no vehicles it's very squad and team work based, pure tactics, when there is vehicles everything is done around and with those vehicles.. Dodging helicopters and bombers, tanks and APCs, etc etc BF:BC 1 and 2 is more solo rambo or sniper style, BF1942 is just mayhem in close maps, and boring in large maps, BF2:MC was almost exclusively solo style, with ***tons of campers, everywhere. What tactic works in one, won't work in the others. If a person used to playing BF2 jumps on BF2:MC, they're just going to die, repeatedly. Likewise, if someone from MC jumps on BF2, they're just going to get killed repeatedly, while they're camping somewhere, someone is going to sneak up on them with a knife.
It's stuff like that, that makes them different.. Plus the vehicles and weapons differing. In some you have to look out for multiple choppers and planes, in others you need only dodge a single chopper and a couple of tanks, in some the second you jump in a vehicle you're already signing your death warrant, and in others you can stay in that vehicle the whole 30 minute round without dying once as long as you have back up, and a good squad.
Anyways, wasn't trying to turn this into a fanboy war or anything, I'd love if they'd slow down the release of CoD's so that I could at least justify buying them now and again. I know almost no one who plays BF, everyone plays CoD.

Which is all good stuff, but also the reasoning of what it's not as popular as Call of Duty: teamwork.
Call of Duty? Run around on your own and still can take out an entire team of 6.
Battlefield? Lack of teamwork = completely slaughtered.

Don't get me wrong: I love both. I actually enjoy Battlefield more, but like you said, most friends play Call of Duty because it's easier to do whatever the *** you want and still do good. It's perfect for those that are blood thirsty. I am blood thirsty, but I also love heavy vehicular combat.
Meh that campaign demo did nothing for me. You arent a soldier in MW3..you're an action hero..unlimited ammo..blackhawk shooting down multiple Hinds..if they dont make several improvements to the multiplayer compared to MW2, wont get it. 2 years ago that game excites me, not so much now.

its a demo
Typically in COD I would run out and have to pick up a bad guys weapon
Sounds like you want an FPS where you shoot one person, run out of ammo, then sit there the rest of the game doing nothing.
Weee.
I do, when there's a support person to drop ammo.. I prefer a limited amount of ammo, even if it gets me killed a lot because I end up running out and have to start chasing people down with a pistol or a knife..
Then again, you can always pick up someone else's weapon pack.
It's essentially the same though. You can only get ammo from the same kind of gun. I find that highly realistic. That's why a lot of times in CoD campaign yo have to just use enemy weapons since they'll have the same guns most likely.
If you want realistic, you'll have to go back in the day when the only way to get health back was health packets. Even Battlefield you slowly regenerate health, just med packs make it faster.
probably won't be announced until like next year (if even), but i want a new rainbow six bad since mw3 looks just like mw2, therefore i'll probably return it about ten hours after playing the multiplayer
OH BOY I HOPE THEY TURN IT INTO A RAILED GAME LIKE THE NEWEST STAR WARS, THAT WOULD BE SO FUN

First thing FPSs need to do is drop the raspberry-jam-in-your-face health regeneration. What's the point of touting a 'OMG SO REALISTIC N' GRITTY' atmosphere if you're just gonna fall back on that crap?
If you're gonna make a balls-out-who-gives-a-damn experience, might as well go back to the days of health packs.
At this point, Yoshi's Safari looks more hardcore.

If I could change that, I would.
It would make it a lot better to me imo. I love the teamwork in Battlefield.

that's why you play on the hardest difficulty so that everything one-shots you :D
i mean, i find modern warfare's story appealing, so i'll play through it for that at least, but then when it comes to the multiplayer, it's like
Like I said the campaign can do whatever it wants, It will last a week. The multiplayer is what drives the cod franchise. Until I see something related to that, its just gravy

I like my FPS to be realistic..
The thing is
I love Battlefield. Played since BF1942
The major problem with the game is the "players"
half your team waiting for the JET/Helicopter/Tank instead of actually fighting it out
Solo *** who contribute nothing to the success of your team
example. spawn campers (when the spawn cannot be capped)
Fail commanders
This typically results on your team getting butt raep
PC battlefields I could only play on either my Clans server or my favorite community servers
Console battlefields I would only touch that game with my buds (half the enemy team are snipers /shrug)
So on the perspective of COD you solo style can still win the game.
So out of the games that havent been "leaked" what game(s) are you most excited to see? me personally is either a GTA5 and maybe a Halo those are 2 of the games i want to see besides more info on Skyward Sword and Last Gaurdian
