Gales for the wind attack, Ultimate/HG for mab, and your call what you need as third atma.

First off I usually go RDM/SAM so that I can do 3 quick AEs. If I am doing it by myself I use Atma of Hell's Guardian, Atma of the Mounted Champion, and Atma of the Sea-daughter. Now, Atma of HG is your main boost to damage. You will also want as much MAB gear then INT, then DEX. I use Atma of MC for the Vit/Regen for survivability. This allows me to pull for as long as I need to and not ever worry about dying. And then I use SD for Regain/Regen during the day.

If you have someone healing for you/pulling for you go balls to the walls. Usually a mix of Gales/HG/Ultima or Gales/HG/Sea Daughter for faster AE.

Also uses the Magic Acc/Magic Attack temp items. That helps.

As for food, Tav. Tacos. Gear when pulling/not doing AE is usually as much PDT as possible followed by high Defense stats.

Touched up on everything I personally do. Any thing else?

As for mobs, I can pretty much solo the squibs/flys/birds in La Theine. For some reason I can only do Mandies in Tah solo followed by just about anything such as bats, the little tiger things, gnats(kinda suck) and then the absolute worst are the mini-kirin things. As for Kon, Lizards, Sapplings, Efts, Bugards, etc.

Really there is only one perfect mob per zone but it's usually overly camped. Just pull 3-5 and if you arent getting hit too hard pull more and more until you find ur limit.

I have done "edge burning" in both Tahrongi and Konschtat for gold boxes. I tried on both RDM and on my THF, and it turned out that for overall safety, my THF was king just due to evasion overall. For reference purposes, I have a WHM that I 2 box so cures are not an issue, and if the mobs hit that hard that a WHM can't keep me alive, I didn't cleave that mob =P

THF/RDM was the max potential dmg output and I'd do Gales/Ultimate/Beyond. Really in retrospect, the Beyond could be dropped for something that gives regain, but the only time I'd see the Regain really being useful is for between pulls to gain TP. 99% of the time you'll have a restoral chest in your kills, so technically you can have 300% TP to begin every single pull for the cost of a key or the time to guess the chest.

One thing that I cannot stress enough is that you need to make sure whatever you decide to pull is not being leveled up by some other group or the like. If you do not pay attention to this, you'll end up with a pull of EM-T-VT and things will not end well. When cleaving mobs, they will stay at the EP range and be relatively easy to handle a good few of.

For Tahrongi - I found Coeurls to be one of the best (Aggressive to Sight for fast maximized pulls)
For Konschtat - Leeches (Link like crazy)
