Full Map Of Vana'diel {Can I Have It?}

A ways back I found an image of Vana'diel online somewhere; not just the areas that are actually in game, but all of Vana'diel, to include an undeveloped continent to the north and another continent off to the west (if I recall correctly). I think it was from a Fan Fest way back, but it had some interesting info on the site with it, such a little backstory as to the different races and monsters of Vana'diel, etc.

Anywho, I didn't bookmark it cause I'm a dumbass, and I've been searching for it ever since and just can't find the freaking thing. I want to share it with some peeps in my LS...after telling them about it they want to see it, and I can't find it, and then the whole "I'm a dumbass" thing comes up and yeeeeeaaah...

So, if anyone has any clue what the hell I'm talking about and can provide me with a link, I'd be much appreciative. I promise I'll bookmark it this time. ^^

It's crazy to think that every single one of those dots was going to be a big city like Jeuno, or White gate. Way to deliver SE!

Kind of makes you hope they do expand Vanadiel. I'm still very hopeful of SE releasing a Far Eastern expansion.. but like that's ever going to happen >.>

sure makes what we have access to look pretty small =/

I wonder if the new expansion will have new areas, or if future expansions will have new areas, solely set in a city on one of those islands. Can anyone remember Morrowind's Mournhold expansion? It was set solely in and undernearth (in the sewers and ruins) of the city; you couldn't exit to the wilderness and there was no world map for the expansion.

Would be a convenient way to include the other continents and their background stories without them developing a fully fledged expansion.

I think most of the reason that the unaccessible areas seem cool is specifically BECAUSE they're unaccessible. I mean, all we have to go on is a name and a general idea, whereas the middle lands have their own backstories, areas way up in the sky, and mobs all planned out. In other words, if we got access to the other areas and not to the Middle Lands when FFXI first came out, we would be saying the same thing about Quon and Mindartia. "Ooh! I wanna go there!"

Awesome game, just waaaaaaay too deep for my tastes...

Plus the 20 minute save and load times for the Xbox version blew ***. >.<

This game will last for a very long time. Atleast I think so. Honestly though, I don't see SE releasing any new areas, apart from those in the past. They take way too long to release the expansions fully over time. I used to play Everquest, and they pumped out (and are still pumping out) brand new expansions every 5-6 months, with brand new areas to boot.

SE's style of releasing things is way different. Final Fantasy has been out for roughly 5 years right(I think x.X)? They've barely released 4 expansions. Not only that, they don't fully release an expansion when it comes out, but stretch out the contents of the expansions over a 1-2 year period.. >.>

If they did release a new area(apart from those in the past), I would think it'd be the Far East, since they already released half of that continent with the Aht Urgahn Expansion. That, and there's already so much referance to that area in-game.

well ive heard rumors that ff14 is going to be online. and rumor has it that our ffxi characters will be transferable. SE plans to annouce ff14 at the next E3 so keep your ears open.

Don't forget they mention the Gigas homeland alot during the war.

I'd love to see the Far East added, I really liked Tenzen and it would be interesting to see his homeland, plus he'd defiantly be involved in the storyline. <3
