Just got banned from my favorite server cause my Score Per Minute is 791.. Which is apparently higher then a Colonel 100, and I've only played the game for 39 hours...
At first I was disappointed because of the size of the maps, but I missed them announcing two other DLC's. The second DLC includes larger maps, and it also includes this:
Quote:
This fall will also bring the expansion pack Battlefield 3: Armored Kill. Featuring all-out vehicle warfare with new tanks, ATV’s, and mobile artillery, it also includes the biggest map in Battlefield history
To be honest i like the plan with the DLC currently... close quarters = super tiny crazy metro style action with soon to be nerfed USAS frag ***, and then the next one will feature the blackhawk helicopter and other vehicles/tanks.
The mention of the biggest map in BF history also peaks my interest pretty heavily... i mean Caspian is already ungodly large as well as a few select others that are big.
10 new weapons and 5 tags is also a nice snag with the maps for close quarters.
I wonder how large that map will be for console players. Even the current largest map is scaled down, so I don't know if consoles can expect anything bigger than what they have at the moment.
To be honest even the scaled version on the 360 is pretty damn big, the only thing that Caspian lacks is the radio tower capture point on conquest which can still be flown over via jet ect.. its just less foot travel mostly. It will be interesting to see how much the scale is though.
Still love the 360 version a lot more than PC sofar, but its fun regardless of how you play it.
BF3's largest maps is still kinda small in comparison to BF2. As far as the consoles go, I was saying they won't have much room to work with because of the 32 player cap.
This is the one time I wish I was into Call of Duty instead of Battlefield.. If it was Call of Duty I'd probably get the expansion packs/dlc or w/e you wanna call it for free since I'm on PC..
Not gonna be able to pass them up, especially not Armored Fury since I'm more of a vehicle person.

Yeah, there's at least one map in BF2 I can't remember the name of where it takes a couple of minutes to fly from one side of the map to the other.. On Caspian it takes all of what? 20 seconds?
so...is Back to karkland really worth the 1500 MS points...debating it...i really want to get my Famas and start trolling people but i dont want to miraculously find MS point cards :(

It really isn't worth it, especially when you consider the fact you're paying for content that's already on your Xbox. Remember that 2GB patch they made you download? Yeah.
Also if I recall the FAMAS got nerfed with the latest patch too.
I personally love the B2K maps quite a bit, I highly recommend it. I still can't fly an F-35 jet to save my life though... so good at everything BUT that damn thing... I can't control the VTOL mode at all in combat.
I don't believe i have had that problem. I was playing with both the Little bird and viper last night for a good bit and had no issues with heat seekers or rocket pods, though others have complained of both.
i dont get home til later. and im a decent not great player :P my aim is meh >.> psn should be pwolfisgawd... ill add you.
And man yesterday i was doing operation metro rush... defending and used recon with the m417... that thing is sex. even with no attachments i went 35/10 or something. was nice
Premium is worth it new maps are alrightish anyways premium is all upcoming maps + extra bs for premium only for 50 there like 4 maps total coming out so thats 15 a map 60 for all 4 as opposed to 50 for premium which pays for all 4 maps well 5 if you never got back to iraq (kakrand) also premium lets you play the maps 2 weeks early and what not in my view it was totally worth it and its a 1 time payment unlike cod elite like people thought it would be like

I don't want to be that guy, but your second sentence is a fragment.
Decided to go ahead and make a thread on it since there isn't one yet, and wanted to see who all is getting it?
Well PC version anyways, I hate playing FPS on console, it's one of the few (maybe the only?) genre where playing on PC actually makes the most sense (due to keyboard/mouse rather than controller. Mouse makes for far better reaction times, using a keyboard takes some getting used to though). If you plan on getting it on PC we should hook up in game and pop some heads. :).
I will be pre-ordering it, nothing could stand in my way of getting it.. I'm a huge Battlefield fan, and have been since 1942.
I was actually in a state of shock when I saw that 3 was on it's way.. I hadn't actually kept up on the next/newest installments, and while I love BC and BC2, there's just no Battlefield on console that compares to BF2 (and arguably, no FPS on console period that does).
