Does anyone know any sites where you can watch NHL games online? Im living in Australia and hockey isn't on TV frequently. Channelsurf/surfing is no longer viable and it seems justin, ustream etc. haven't got them either.

Playoffs are right around the corner and I wanna be able to follow my team ><

Thanks :3

Your best bet is to get a proxy states side and watch it that way.

If you know how to manage servers, I recommend getting a cloud server somewhere, installing a proxy and sitting back to a few good games :D Could probably do the same thing on a windows VPS.

I know paying for things is considered blasphemous, but I joined NHL Gamecenter at nhl.com. It's quite convenient, you can flick back and forth between all the games when you want.

Its not an issue of paying, it's more that they region block Australia or anything off-continent. Even if you pay for it most times.

Really? I had no idea...that sucks. :/ Well, you can still try the free preview, and see if any games are watchable.

Well I can't officially say that's what nhl.com does, but we get region blocked almost everywhere we go. Sucks to be us. I'm guessing either the videos would still be region blocked from behind a paywall, that or the paywall would require either a NA address or NA CC. I've been blocked by a non-NA CC before. Curse you Amazon!

I am considering paying for Gamecenter if it is still available for playoffs. I mean, i'm following 3 teams religiously this post season so at least one of them is bound to make it past round 1! lol

As far as the free preview goes, I've been able to cheat a little and watch it as much as i'd like while im using the Uni computers (they require you to login to a proxy). The only downside is that i have to constantly close the browser and reopen the gamecenter lol.

Perhaps this is similar to what you were suggesting Schultz?

aye, luckily I do still have a NA residential address and CC! However I hope that after I pay I wont get shafted :x

I tried to take part in the 'Playoff Challenge' with my NA account that NHL.com is hosting, but every time I go to login (from AU obviously) it just brings me back to the login screen T_T; So perhaps there is region block? D:

You could try this: http://gclsupport.nhl.com/

They have support phone numbers listed for outside North America.

I watched the Montreal and Boston game last night on cbc.ca
I would assume only the games that are currently being broadcasted on CBC would be there. It's not Hi Def or anything, but it works.

You have to pay but my god, is it worth it. Not only can you stream games live but you can watch them any time you want afterwards which is great is you don't live in NA. Just avoid the score which isn't hard.
Watching last night match right now. Let's go Bruins etc.
