Let's making floating nuclear reactors... That's a brilliant idea!
Yeah! But why stop there, might as well make a mini airport to ferry stuff in and out for the workers! Hmm, terrorists might attack, lets add some guns! Well we've gone this far, lets put so soldiers on board too, in case we need them. Hell it has an airport, lets put some fighter jets on it too! Radar? Sure. Maybe a mini hospital for the workers and soldiers!
Holy. Mother of God.
It LIVES!

Are you really gonna blame this on XI being down?

Isn't that somehow in some twisted backwards way... Blaming the Earthquake/Tsunami for killing all those people in Japan and putting them without power after you just spend the whole thread telling us how to save them... Good one.

It needs to be an incredibly powerful earthquake to have a tsunami of that magnitude. Also, Nabis is really an annoying troll.

He kinda looks trollish too. Like a really short Vato.

I wasn't implying it, but from the way he said that comment, it sure sounded like it.

Backup plan or no backup plan, how do you seriously prepare yourself to fully cover a 8.9/9.0 earthquake and a 30 ft Tsunami... I mean you can do everything right and you still wont be prepared for this. I promise you if the US got hit by something like this, we would still be having the same issues Japan is. There is no way you can honestly prep yourself for something like this. They even said the nuclear plants in the US couldnt handle an 8.9 earthquake cause they arent built for something that strong.

To be honest, their backup plans probably went out the window when they finally could *** the damage and everything that really happened. It really is just too much.

You're lucky glaciont because I think everyone who has read Nabis's posts has lost some of their intelligence because he's shown he knows very little about economics, science, spelling, and geography. According to him, it is Japan's fault because they should have been prepared for something that they had no idea would ever happen. Also according to him, they're greedy and don't care about human lives because they didn't build a wall 100 ft tall and 700 ft wide around their country and they don't rebuild their power plants every 10 years or so.

I'm sure there were some other offensive comments he made along the way that I'm missing, but you get the gist of it. Needless to say, he makes me, and I'm sure everyone else from the U.S., proud that he's from this country! If only everyone in this world could be as smart as him!

If scientists were to study the Chernobyl incident they would have surely learned something. Well, I guess they didnt. Since, all we came up with is pour seawater on those reactors. I hope we learn form this disaster so, it wouldnt happen again.

The reactors were build right next to the coast. So, surely a tsunami was going to hit it and the fact that most of Japan is on an earthquake fault line doesnt help. Someone should have taken this into consideration before building the plant where it was.

I am sure that they knew that a possibility of a tsunami and an earthquake happening one after another in a worst case scenario was possible, but what can you really do to prepare for it.

The problem now is the radiation from those reactors. It doesnt look like the Japanese government is telling us everything and are playing things down.

My heart goes out to those 50 brave souls who went inside the plant knowing that would be the end for them. Surely the rest of us can learn from them.

the reactors survived the quake and there were not problems until the sea water rose OVER the seawall protecting the back up generators that were to cool the system and ruined them.

the thing that strikes me as being odd is that all 4 of the plants are in one area of the country . I can understand being close to the ocean but why so close together.
