there are like 10 people posting here, the other 1400 players are pretty much selfish *** or idiots, you'll see when you come here and run into Miky's dynamis shouts, or Akron's cruor farming shouts, or Mitaru's EXP shouts, or you try to do a trial and end up solo'ing VS a party because you're not from their LS or not from their country, racism in ragnarok is on a whole other level, not to mention half ragnarok population use multi characters, you'll end up in an EXP PT with 18 members and 10 players, and 14 of those will stand at dominion NPC with dominion bots, there are also the people who join a group with 1 stone and screws the group when they time out and go like "i was hoping we would be getting TE :("

all this ***happen daily, don't show up expecting it to be a nice ride, find a good group, stick to them, avoid morons, best survival strategy in ragnarok.

People who discriminate based on server won't exactly float to the top, same as people in RL that have heuristics or biases of inconsequential 'differences' between people.

i'll describe my day, usual day in ragnarok.

went to Azdaja, killed Deelgeed -> Azdaja few times, Nihil LS shows up with 18 people, they spammed Deelgeed for 2hours, we couldn't claim and couldn't do a thing against their army of morons with empyreans, so we left deelgeed, later they decided its time to do azdaja, that was the best comedy show, they didn't alliance because wiki says its better to keep healers outside PT, and they tanked from front...at that moment i didn't know to throw an advice or an insult, anyway they took 20+ minutes for each azdaja, and after they killed, someone told me they don't need horns, only AF3+2 items, so i asked leaders if i can join to lot horns, they refused, and horns kept going auto-lot, i'm not complaining that they didn't give me the horns, its just the fact that they prefer items going to floor than give someone outside their group of idiots with empyreans.

another thing happened today, went to do Yaanei for people, blind invited me to help them wtf...just because you help someone 1 time doesn't mean they get a pass to call you for every little thing they need, but i was free so i went with them.

we all went to #1, Yaanei followed us, it killed some of us and some exitted, what happened after that was funnier than 18 ppl in seperate PTs tanking azdaja from front.

Yaanei was @ Conflux Surveryor owning anyone zoning in and it was on CFH, for 20 minutes.

but those people are mostly the only ones using the /sh command.
So do't be scared off by that. Every Server has idiots.

btw i have yet to encounter an event where other players would steal a mob or even just do things to harm your play.
so it is not that bad.

but yes there seem to be a large basis of people not being able to listen whatever you say.

What about these guys who held Bennu for almost 1 hour knowing we wanted to pop it after, wipe several times to it, ignore our /tells offering help, keep zombie'ing it as it goes white many times.
We decide to claim and kill it as they spam /tells calling us thieves and wishing us to "*** die in RL".

i welcome the new people. maybe it'll bring new life into this server.

as for the racism comment: the two most notorious botter / unhonorable ls's on rag were predominantly arabic and italian/spanish. the server went from being a forerunner in player communication and camaraderie, to people blatantly saying "yeah we bot but you're scrubs for no bot. enjoy watch us aegis shield bash down tiamat for 3 hours". Any dislike for players was learned behavior and environmental, not prejudice that most players had before starting FFXI.
