I Hate Anime - What's Wrong With Me?

I own the Escaflowne series, Spirited Away (which I really enjoy), and one or two others, but to be honest, I get a little irritated when I see 'What Anime Should I Watch Now?' threads and the like. I'm sure it's just my own bias, but is there something wrong with other television shows? Can't you just ask for other generic shows to watch? Why does it have to be anime?

There are our common interests. I hate Anime as well.. Arkansas really isn't that bad, it gets a bad wrap, my wife is from there (more or less.. She's moved around a lot) The air is clean, and there's absolutely nothing to do but get drunk/high. It's nice to remove yourself from ~normal~ life once in a while.

~Normal of course meaning paying bills, making it day to day waking up the next to start it all over again.

True, true. Do you think Ichigo in only Bankai is stronger than Kenpachi or Byakuya?

Or do you think he needs his Hollification to beat them?

At one point during the Zanpakuto rebellion arc, Ichigo had to use his hollification to challenge Senbonzakura.

Moreover, which stage do you think Ichigo has to be in to beat the Captain commander?

I think the only dubbed I liked were FMA and Ouran Highschool, but to be fair my friends showed it to me in dub, so I kinda got used to the actors more :\ Though, I've been watching brotherhood and I really don't like it too much, maybe it's because I'm used to the original or haven't watched enough of it :\

Also to be fair, Vic is a pretty decent dub actor, at least he's alright and doesn't have a shrill *** voice like Naruto, god I don't know what the *** is up with the person who voices him.

And yeah that's what I meant about him having longer hair at the end. I mean he was completely pwning a fully evolved Aizen without even trying. Like just stand there kinda lazily swing then take some hits and do it again. But not sure if it was even sustainable or if it was some side effect of the training or maybe some preform of the final getsuga

Also kinda hard to gage captain commander completely. He never really uses all his power and was pretty weakened before he started trying. But I think the fact that Aizen was actually afraid of him and what he could do says volumes as is the fact that in the 1000 or so years he has been captain commander no one has been able to replace him despite him now losing his arm

But without a doubt Ichigo as the Final Getsuga is the strongest of them all but I'm just wondering, how many times stronger in his final form is Ichigo than that old man, or hell in a smaller perspective how many times stronger is he than Byakuya and Kenpachi?

What does that have to do with anything? I enjoyed those games, but I don't see how you could have known that unless you have read some post I don't remember making.

Hard to scale really. I mean that form he completely owned Ulquiora and you could assume he would probably own any of the espada which puts it miles ahead of any of the other captains... but captain commander never fought any of them so hard to really gage how easily he could beat them. And really he owned Ulquiora so hard its really hard to gage just how more powerful he was.

It's like a lvl 90 one shotting a lvl 10 mob... you know the power difference is big but can't really tell how big cause a lvl 50 could do it too.

Also perhaps he doesn't have a bankai!?! Or can't/wont use it

Seriously though, anime is not a genre. Sure, there's some prevalent (and creepy) tropes that leaks into most things Japanese, but it's like saying one hates all movies because they were forced to watch Ed Wood movies as a child.

That looks pretty damn good to me, about the same I would have it in, but when you say Ichigo v2 500 do you mean when his was fused with his sword?

Because arguably I think he was already stronger then the captain commander at that point and definitely stronger than butterfly Aizen. Also when Aizen gained his final form the anime makes it seem like he wasn't even stronger than Ichigo with his fused sword. Although, since Ichigo transformed I'm assuming Aizen was stronger. BUT then again Ichigo just wanted to end it with one blow, so Ichigo mag have just rushed into things with full force instead of fighting it out.

Like I'm saying it's really hard to make comparisions out of the void. There is no real fighting between people of close enough power to really get even semi accurate feel for the comparative power lvl
