pfft slivers > all. slivers are some dirty underhanded little things.
Too bad slivers are weak
pixies, you cant play a single card
I did Black. Had 2 vamps and Overlord. I didn't win much, but never took it to serious. Buddy made me a zombie deck once, had a lot of fun with that.

Edit, and if the control is blue, it protects it. Alexander.Tidusblitz said: Edit, and if the control is blue, it protects it. I can totally defeat your ability. It gets even funnier on the white one since I can just counter the color chosing lol. Blue is the color of answers. There is pretty much nothing it can't get around Alexander.Tidusblitz

I have 3 of those in my deck, so i hope you got enough of those. And even then, theres still a lot more tricks for slivers. Also the way thats worded, that means it would take effect next turn?
played back in the days of 4th edition
had a few decks my fav was a black discard specters/juzams/mind tiwsts/sinkholes/demonic+grim tutors etc i lost it when i joined the army i was moving rooms, and the mop n glow i used to cheatshine my boots leaked into the bag and solidified my deck, among other things Alexander.Tidusblitz said: I have 3 of those in my deck, so i hope you got enough of those. Except the trigger ability since that only happens when it comes into play. But 1 turn is good enough when you can counter any and everything that isn't uncounterable Also this is a great classic for blue control... Blue always has an answer. Just is it the right one Quicksliver from the same expansion as the other two allow slivers to be played as instants. Not too hard to start slipping them in just before the end of your turn and the untap at the start of <ours.>
Slivers are nasty nasty things, and yes, they CAN be defeated, but it generally has to be in the opening of the match. Let them get to midgame and it's over. 'Course, I say this as a sliver fan myself. I've been out of Magic a while, though: Does Trickbind do anything outside of simply shutting down the Protection? I notice it says it counters abilities, but not the spell itself. You'd have to drop Trickbind first to even be able to counter, correct? That's a lot of mana to stop a 2/2 that there are bound to be more of. Alexander.Tidusblitz said: Magic the Gathering,, color? i like to get this out with a bunch of smaller slivers:
then lay this down: its just like yep. you bout to take 100 damage. I do love Blue, though. I had a deck a long time ago that was all Boomerangs, Counterspells, Aether Bursts and Capsizes. If the draw favored you, you ended up with enough mana to counter anything, boomerang anything that managed to get out a turn later, and with Capsize and the Buyback on it, spend (six) mana always have a boomerang.
Slowest Mill ever, was excellent for bogging down everyone's Wellwishers and the sort during lunch at school. Alexander.Tidusblitz

On a semi related note, i have 4 of these in there too.

I've yet to see a sliver deck outside of drafts that could do well against anything good. They just too slow so most aggro decks would win before you got a decent set up and most control decks will have strong control. Offline

Red, specifically goblins. They're a lot of fun at a kitchen table environment rather than tournament play. There's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing your opponent's expression as you let them know on the third turn that, no, fifteeen health wasn't really a safe amount.
Also it's fun to just *** around in a multiplayer game picking off everyone's fodder creatures. Bismarck.Tonythetaru

*** don't know about my Green/White trample/life deck.
Alexander.Tidusblitz said: i like to get this out with a bunch of smaller slivers: then lay this down: its just like yep. you bout to take 100 damage. Throw Essence Sliver on there for absolutely no reason and it's more fun in multiplay! More fun was getting Plated slivers into play and protecting them, then playing Riptide Replicator. Mind you, you'll probably never have the resources to manage to use it every turn, but when we played with bigger groups in free-for-all, it's nice to be able to generate 0/1 tokens that only exist because of Plated and use them as free fodder for all of the other delicious tap abilities. Or, We weren't particularly good at the game, and we might've been interpreting rules incorrectly, but god damn was it fun. Bahamut.Dasva said: It can counter any activated or triggered abilities. Stifle does the same thing for only U. You say that's alot of mana but that's also alot of mana to spend for a 2/2. It's only to stop the uncounterablingness. Use repeatable/cheaper counters for everything else. Of course there are other answers I just love trickbind. It can do some many odd things lol. I've yet to see a sliver deck outside of drafts that could do well against anything good. Yeah, Slivers seem to either be an easy early win or painful, slow (or fast!) massacre as you get mana-starved and have nothing to block with except 1/1s you were planning on never using outside of the synergistic bonuses. Also, I haven't discussed Magic for years, this is awesome. i mainly use my Red Burn
but atm i also have a green eldrazi, black vampiric, white-black lifegain, and im working on a black and blue counter-something deck(not sure what im making the blacks, im messing around to find out wat) |
