yeah, i think, dont quote me on this, that all of them had an airship of sorts. the major point i was trying to make was someone said he didn't like FF7 for it's futuristic aspects when the others had them just as much.
Have you played any FF's pre-7? final fantasy adventure, I and II that were re-released, jp's 3, 4 and 5. i'd say yeah i have.

I have and I'm straight up telling you that you don't know what you're talking about. Play 7 then talk about it.
Play 1 then tell me there's just as much. Hell, play 5 and tell me it's just as futuristic. I dare ya.
I have, and the amounts are very similar, 10%-30% isn't much of a difference.

Have you?
FFI has the Sky Fortress and Mirage Tower. And an airship.
FFII/IV has the Tower of Zot, Tower of Babil and Giant of Babil, fleets of airships, and lunar flight on a massive airship.
FFVI is practically as futuristic as VII, only with lesser graphics.
I haven't finished V or III. or the new II, that developement system pisses me off.

Asura.Alexstaifter said: They have most of the required pieces to make the Remake already, so its not like the development for character designs and such would be hard
(Think Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core)
They have voice actors already for all the major characters
(Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Red XIII, Cid, Yuffie, Vincent, Cait Sith, Sephiroth, The Turks, Rufus, Zack, Genesis, Angeal )
The music would just need to be updated (like a more modern version of all the tracks)
Since it's a remake, they have the basis from the other FF7 series games to work with to redesign it for this Gen.
I think they should update the story to fix up the canon a bit (With the extra turks, genesis, angeal and zack backstory to flush it out.)
Adding some Optional stuff like, being ablt to Fight Genesis, Angeal and so on (just to spice things up)
Some new gear here and there (like a new ultimate weapon for Cloud being the one he has in AC, which would be better than his Ultima Weapon)
those are just some of my ideas
I agree with this. FFVII was perfect the way it was, but then they took a hammer to the canon when they added all the other games. I'd feel a little better if they tried to straighten out the canon with a remake. :/

I wish, and I'm just saying your reasoning is faulty, severely.
It ain't a perfect world, people are going to disagree with you and simply not like things. Deal with it.
I don't have a problem with people disagreeing, but at least make sense when you do so, you don't make sense.
Then move along. Seriously, what the *** is so hard to understand? I saw the game, it didn't interest me, so I didn't play it. A remake might interest me. Christ.
Just pointing out your faulty logic, trying to turn you to the right side, sorry if you fail to turn.
My faulty logic, because I didn't feel like playing a game, that was on a console I didn't own at the time? Seriously, *** off.
No, the logic where you decided you didn't like a game you hadn't played. Yeah yeah, you didn't like the graphics, whoop de doo, graphics never made or broke any game. And again, sitting and watching someone else play a game is nothing like playing it yourself. While you very well may have sat through all the main story line stuff, I very much doubt you've seen it all. All we're saying is that if you enjoyed the other FF games, then there's actually a very good chance that you'll like this one too, and you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss, yes, even 15 years (I think) after it's release. It's kinda like a movie buff saying they've never seen the Godfather.
I don't really care if you don't wanna play it, and I doubt that anyone else here does either, but I have to agree, your reasoning for not wanting to doesn't make any sense. There's no reason you can't play it now just because it's no longer a new release title.

It's kind of a moot point anyway. It's almost like saying you liked Super Mario Land, Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy, the new Mario Brothers, but had no interest in Mario 64 because of the blocky graphics. Whereas I guarantee, if you like all those ones I said, you'll like 64 too. Whether or not you've played or liked any of the earliest versions is actually pretty irrelevant.

Alright, Blazza I'll try a little more toned down since you're tone is more genuine and not trollish like Jet. Honestly? I hadn't thought about it that much, and in my previous rantings I was kinda trying to work that out, and I obviously failed. I loved every FF 1-6, but 7 just didn't do it for me. I'm not going to sit here and write out a thesis statement to try and justify my logic, it just didn't interest me. Couple that in with already knowing every major plot spoiler, and I can comfortably say I have no interest in the game. I didn't like the way it looked(although the cutscenes were very impressive for the time). I dunno, I just didn't want to play it.
Add in years of hype and fanboy-ism, and it just took my disinterest to a further level.
Have you ever sat and flipped through channels, landed on a show, and simply decided "meh" and kept flipping through more channels? Did you need a thesis statement of logic to explain why other than it just didn't interest you? That was how I was with 7. I didn't realize I was committing a crime by disliking a FF game.

You are commuting a crime by openly stating it and not giving an excuse that is satisfactory to them.

Broke my FF Cherry, although I didn't know it at the time. The Final Fantasy part never caught my eye until I was ~11.
As far as story goes, Tactics is king in my opinion. It also helps that Ramza's probably the most heroic FF hero in the series.

people will always speed run games, so I suppose it's a nice reward to obtain if you do, though it's pretty much pointless level 65+.

It was actually impossible to get it on the PAL version, even though it was in the game.
yeah yeah i know: beat a dead horse.
but i came across something just a moment ago, something about Tetsuya Nomura revealing a top secret highly demanded title to be brought to light in 2011, i believe it was in a press conference in december. alot of people were speculating it was the final fantasy VII remake that millions of people were begging for, or for KH3. I personally dont know if it would be for KH3 since we kind of knew about it already thus fore go the "top secret". thoughts?
