So I have recently geared my Blm up to a point where i'm happy with it, just wondering if Witch sash and Wise Strap would beat out +4 int I gain over it from Congnition belt and Bugards +1.

thanks alot for quick response Dasva, 13% Magic crit hit rate just peaked my curiosity, so much so I made my first AH post lol
Didnt seem worth testing for 1.5m magic crit is only +10 mab. So those 2 peices are 5% to crit hit rate which means you would have an average of +.5 MAB.

Ah I realised it was 10 Mab Before Gloves +2 but im not sure on how much they add on. Did a little bit of playing around in grauberg and i cant really tell which is a Crit hit and which is a Small proc on conserve mp
Not sure about the gloves. Most old peices add like 1 more mab to the critting. And I don't have +2 gloves to test myself

Does crit rate (for both melee/magic) have increasing or diminishing returns?
Fairly sure eradico were tested to be an extra 5 MAB on crits so I'd imagine Goetia +2 are are least that which would make Wise strap .45 MAB on average which I think beats bugard +1. Especially considering we're usually at the dINT cap these days.

The percentage increase diminishes (due to the baseline damage increasing from previous crit rate bonuses). edit: basically what dasva said Diabolos.Artfuldodger

Gotcha, been entertaining the idea of Mcrit and Mcrit dmg builds, but my suspicions of uselessness seem to be right. Thanks for the input
