If you are hack and slashing you are going to have problems. The combat is based on European style which is why the attacks seem limited but past the first couple areas you really need to have a plan for most enemies you approach. Also your class means nothing beyond the equipment and stats your start with.

do the one for the job you play more often for now. once the update comes, you won't be as restricted in picking which ones you want at a useful level.
