anyone else think of a game where the characters magically walk into the main character to travel aside from Legend of Legaia?

it's so weird.

Leon if you do this: at least make a story where they shrink to travel and they regain HP in that form, and you can chose who moves around, or something.

Some sort of reasonable explanation!

Almost all old RPGs were like that Jet. It just serves as a representation on who is in the front, leading the party. It was done to conserve memory originally, at least I'm pretty sure.
