I'm not sure if any of you noticed in that video, but...

he wasn't even blocking. All he did was try to parry arrows and stuff.

Plus, he didn't even know about estus flasks so he never healed up.

That is why you take it slow in the game, and learn about the mechanics first before you move on >_>
