Just never really liked playing female characters online and I used to hate being anywhere other than the frontlines in battle... Actually enjoying a support job is very... strange... for me.

Oh Leon, being a healer isn't so bad. The only minor drawback would be getting yelled at by people at all times for stupid stuff that will be delivered as soon as you can and yet no matter how fast you get it out, it's never fast enough, and when you do what you need to efficiently, people don't thank you for your work, not to mention when someone dies immediately the first person they start bitching at is the healer. So, aside from that slight issue, it's' actually quite monotonous! Er... I mean, great!

But, yeah, getting heals out on time is gonna be much easier for me on 14 than it was on 11 because now I can just click the party list to target people instead of having to use macros or cycle through targets.
And buffs are pretty much a non-issue anyway due to long duration.

I've decided to come back to FFXI post holidays.
I miss screwing around with campaign and besieged.
And I still have to finish up all the awesome missions including the end of WotG!
That and I still want to make the most of my bard. Love that class now.

It really does make healing so much easier. Even with the faster battles in XIV, the only time I was really having trouble keeping up with heals is whenever the boss spawned adds, and even then it wasn't bad because other people had Cure set as an additional skill. :I
Oh, and when I was the one taking damage. I seem to gloss over my own HP to the point of getting myself killed lol.

no. Desmond is Great. The story writers suck and had something good and ruined it.
