How I feel about FFXI... I want to kill it... but I can't stop loving it.

Well they did a tech demo that looked like it could be for Star Ocean 5 but said it wasn't, however that doesn't mean they're not considering it. Found this though

I think they could make a much cooler and darker story with a more mature main character

It would be the first in the series.

Last Hope had some dark moments, (Granted usually ruined by Lymle and Meracle both in presence alone and in voice acting).

The alternate Earth thing was pretty heavy and the whole thing with Faize and the girl he got the scarf from and hell most of what happened with Faize in general.

They should try and make a more grown up game, it's not like teens can't identify with them just because they're older, we're all people.

As long as there are Myuria-level *** in it, I'll be happy.

I prefer little to no fanservice (unless it actually helps the story) in a mature game or manga/anime :/ It always feels so out of place otherwise.

I hate that mentality. I realize it's alpha, but the foundations of things are set and some of them *** suck. The new "fast paced" combat system they were going on and on about *** blows. I hate basically every *** aspect of it.

Maybe elaborate on why it's so bad?

I enjoyed it in its 1.whatevers lol but no give people who hate it access D:

1) every WS you do (or action for that matter) has a global cool down. Once you say WS you can't do anything else for a good couple seconds (this includes casting any magic)

2) auto-attack pretty much does nothing. You auto-regen/refresh (low amounts might I add) and you auto-regain tp (50/tick which is trash considering the LOWEST WS takes 80/1000). For long fights this system is going to be a complete uphill climb to survive, because AA not generating TP puts a massive stopper in your tracks to WS.

3) atm archer is complete unbalanced for it's combo system. It has 1 combo atm where you have to CRIT your first shot to get the combo bonus on your second WS, and it's a debuff WS, so the mobs build resist to this debuff (it's a good one. Its blind btw) very very quickly, rendering it basically useless since the dmg behind the shot is sub-par.

I disagree 100000x with this. The combo system in 1.23 was excellent and didn't need to be touched :(

Tell them about it then >.> If enough people bug them about it they might change it.

I've been INCREDIBLY vocal about it on the feedback forum.

I'm still waiting for The World to get released.

You can say it either way but I think the Japanese licensor told Funimation that it was Holo.
