Nah, he doesn't move very fast so you should be able to get away as long as you see him first... if he sneaks up on you you're screwed though.

Due to the infinite number of possible technical difficulties that catnip may have. If at the time if he does transfer servers I could only image the worst case scenario. He pays his $25 to server transfer and his character gets lost and deleted in the process.
