I'm not from California so I dunno, maybe it's just because of where I live, but we have Black history month and it's pretty much '*** you' to every other minority.. I see in the article they apparently already have to be taught the same for women/blacks/latinos/native americans, so maybe it's only fitting to include this..

I agree, it's a bit extreme. I was unaware that being taught those things about women/races mentioned was not going on in other states. You learn something new every day!
Edit- Also, I'm from CA. Not sure if that makes a difference but you mentioned it, so I thought I would.

I agree, it's a bit extreme.
It's one thing to understand the history behind a race of people, generations based on diverse and unique culture therein. But to do this on the basis of individualized sexual preference is just absurd. Agreed, this is downright self-defeating. All this will do is alienate those that already express equal interest in their civil liberties and rights, and disgust those who were already adamant about their own moral codes.

Abri, their watch idea is nice. Not too over the top. However, these days I think less and less people are using watches, everyone just turns to their cell phones. You could find a really nice picture of the two of you and have it framed. (I'm assuming you're talking about Bart).
