And I want to bite her head off but it would start so much family drama that it's not even worth it. I can't possibly be honestly related to these people. She wouldn't even understand if I did tell her that it was offensive. Unless, of course, I put it in some metaphor like "Being mad at all Iraqis because of one group of religious fanatics is like everyone being mad at all Christians because of Westboro Baptist Church." That might get the point across (because she is a raging Baptist herself but doesn't like Westboro) but the religious argument that would follow is just not worth anybody's time or effort.
