Thinking of ending my dual box love affair and going back to a single account and leveling mules the traditional manner.

I have yet to find a truly effective method of controlling two characters simultaneously on the same machine.
Though I should probably keep it around in case anyone wants to play with me for free or junk like that.

I used a combination of XiUtilities (dual send), a Logitech G510 keyboard making use of all 54 "G-keys" to cast various spells from my whm alt onto my main, a PL bot, a solo-assist bot, an auto-buff bot, and an on-event tool. I rarely if ever had to bring my alt into focus.

Yeah, I rather not use anything too exploitive in nature aside from something like dual send and windower plugins.
It'll suck not being as self sufficient with a passive white mage behind me at all times but the management and focus of a singular character may be worth it assuming I can find some comrades on the Fenrir server.

I'll have to give a serious attempt at setting things up before I dismiss the notion of dual boxing.

Been wearing the over-sized Hepburns since 2003! That and aviators, but my face and the bridge of my nose are too narrow. They slide off all the time. The aviators, I mean.

I've completed the first one but I only got an hour or two into the second one before I stopped. I'll eventually pick it back up but idk it wasn't as captivating as I would have liked it to be.

well I was kinda pissed at how the story for the second one started personally lol. Then I was like AMMO!!! What the nonsense is this ammo stuff lol.
The ammo had me a bit >.> at first as well, it drops so often though that I can only think of one time when I actually ran out on my rifle and that was because I was sucking. I was just exreamly pleased that they got rid of that damn truck thing, simplified your invantory (my biggest dread of ME1 was when it filled up and I had to go through omini gelling all the things) and that they wern't recycling the same 4 or 5 areas for side quests on planets.

I honestly found playing starcraft 2 helped my dual boxing more than almost anything else. I had always been kinda "who cares" about dual boxing my mules until I noticed I was at like 100cpm on starcraft and 40~ on ffxi. Got a whole new mentality about playing 2 accounts because of it.
