If it weren't documented, there would be folks out there who disregard it.
Same reason why cell phone instruction manuals tell you not to dry your phone in the microwave should it become wet.

I wish those were a prerequisite for working here. I often complain about Frank and how his grooming/bathing habits are extremely lacking.

There are some cultures that do not believe in bathing daily, they just add more deoderant or perfume to cover their "scent".

idk how people can do it either... I feel gross if I forget to shower even if it's my day off and I don't see the light of day... sadly you do have to specify that for some people, just like I've had to explain to people that scratching yourself while making peoples sandwiches or stuffing your face with the pizza toppings in frount of them is not acceptable. If it's there you know they have had problems with it in the past

The farthest I go is not shampooing my hair every other day.
if I don't have a shower every day I feel disgusting.
Now washing my hair ... I can go like a day without doing that, but at least every other day or ehhh.

i only shampoo my hair once a week. the reason people get really oily hair/skin when they go a day without showering or shampooing is because after doing it so long their skin lost a natural balance. the chemicals are drying your body out so it putts out extra oil to compensate.
