you don't have a memory stick reader on your pc? you should hack it. it's pretty awesome. it has music apps that make it a better mp3 player than anything else i've ever had.

if ur pc has the memory slot, dont need the usb cable.
i been trying to find more sites to download the games. so far i got dissidea 1 & 2, lunar star, phantasy star.

get a usb cable, they aren't expensive if you order one from amazon or something.

i just go to the bay for everything. if you liked final fantasy tactics, jeanne de arc is pretty good. it's a tactical rpg based on joan of arc. pretty decent, but the voice acting might drive you crazy.

i can try. i haven't hacked a phat since the original firmware. they don't have a lot of security so it shouldn't be hard. my 3001 on the other hand has to be hacked EVERY time the battery dies.

most laptops only come with an SD slot not a memory stick pro duo slot.
my friend keeps telling me to hack mine, but I don't like the idea of hacking systems that are limited to small sizes of flash memory when the games are several hundred MB+

i didnt even buy a cable, my ooold cell phones had the usb cable and i kept it jus in case and now im happy i kept it lol.

do the other slots work on it? also do you have the proper drivers installed?
and on your laptop it should have it's thermal paste replaced and fans cleaned, but like I said before unless you're comfortable with it have somebody who's had experience with the pin cables to do it (things are ***).
