there is a local place here actually run by JP ppl, but the problem is the cost. while not as expensive as a fancy place, it can get pricey just by having your sushi fill....
I went to this sushi place in seattle, it was awesome, you would just get charged by sushi plate, like .99 to 2.99 depending of what kind of plate you'd get. was rly more worth it there :x

The closest place we have that has sushi (within a 2 hour drive) is a Chinese buffet and all they ever have is a few pieces or random tuna or salmon and maybe a few rolls, but they SIT OUT ON THE BUFFET with everything else, and everything else is warm/heated so it gets yucky fast. Really sucks.

Raw fish takes up only an iota of the spectrum of what is sushi.
There are many other tasty things like unagi, kimbob, nori hand rolls, various nigiri and other delicacies. The combination possibilities are endless based on how many vegetables fish and sauces you can put together therein.
I won't deny it's an acquired taste. However, I am fairly confident that there is at least something out there that would tickle your fancy.

I was considering getting it for my friend cause it looked super awesome from the trailer. However, it may not be such a good idea since he's more prone to rage quit than I am.
See, the raw fish I'm on the border with, seaweed is iffy, but the thing that's the deal breaker is the rice. I can't stand it in any form.

I don't know, do you people eat buffalo meat? I think that's specific of North America?

I grew up eating it all the time, and with my mom's cooking, no less. Don't get me wrong. I love her to death, but she is NOT a good cook. She used to make this stuff called "Spanish Rice" which was rice, ground beef and onions doused in V-8. And we would eat that at LEAST once a week. I hated it so damn much. So now as an adult, I can't stand the flavor, the texture... hell even the scent of it makes me gag.
