It's the same with Bleach and Naruto. Not so much in Fairy Tail.

You've got to have an epic fight scene, then something happens, then the ULTIMATE ATTACK!!11!1 then something happens, then the REAL ULTIMATE ATTACK!!11!11! then something happened, someone dies, then the ULTIMATE ENERGY IS UNLOCKED FOR THE SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME ULTIMATE ATTACK!!11! then the bad guy dies.

<.< I love the Die Hard movies, something about the fact that he's the hero but he's far from invincible.. He starts off mostly clean (well he was still kinda dirty in 3 in the beginning) and by movies end he has wounds and injuries all over, he's covered in blood, can barely walk and will probably need 3 months to heal, but he still gets the job done.
