Time to drive back to Austin. Yesterday's fishing trip was pleasant, just caught 4 flounder and 7 sheepshead. I gave them all to the Captain. Still have over 2 pounds of spanish mackeral to cook when I get home. I'll be back here in two weeks if the shutdown is still going. Here is hoping.

Does anyone even bother to do basic research anymore or just go with what some fake AI tells them.
I didn't ask a AI, it was a post on the microsoft forum. At least there is the caveat of having a microsoft account if your info is correct.

And I have to agree, I experienced more system crashes than usual for a while before the October 14th. Wouldn't surprise me if MS does this on purpose.

I would like to think that the big M had put the abuses of the DOS days behind them.

But then I remember the old meme that google's "Don't be evil" motto was a direct response to Bill's Microsoft.

There sure are a lot of active game bundles on HB right now. If I wasn't convinced that it's just a DLC trap I'd consider the Warhammer one.

It is sickening how most stories build character trauma on 1) absent father 2) abusive father.

Father is always the main villain in most stories.

Maybe the hidden message is that only the bad get laid.

And the bad never use protection.

Had my first ever Kidney Stone today.

Ruined the day's plans of attending wife's sister's birthday, but my wife took care of me with grace.

And I got a good feeling when we were asked if we were single and dating vs. married. :) Married!

They gave me morphine, and the pain beat the morphine. I was surprised.

But I'm home now with a percocet prescription and an array of peeing drugs, so... Here's to hoping it goes away sooner rather than later.

I had my first one 10 years ago. It was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life. I was fortunate and it passed the next morning. It was only 2mm x 3mm... about the size of a big piece of rice.

I currently am dealing with my 2nd one and it was about 2 weeks of bad daily pain and now I think the stone is in my bladder and won't come out. I have random pains, but not like before when I thought it was traveling through my urerter.

My dad used to get these a lot and he went in for that ultrasonic procedure that is supposed to break the stone up. They did that procedure 6 times and it didn't work each time.

I just wanted to share my experience with this horrible situation. I hope you get through it fast. My sister had one before. She said she'd go through labor again than another kidney stone.

its too bad crystal light is *** disgusting.

Aspertame needs to go away, fully, completely, forever.

Sucralose is disgusting, too.

Allulose is almost acceptable.

They ALL suck. Even natural organic stevia sucks.

And the ones that are granulated for baking SUCK THE WORST.

Besides, some of them are dangerous.

You know what else helps with not forming kidney stones? Water. Drink more of it, it's cheapish.

Advising people drink crystal light because it has some of the same compounds found in ... citrus fruit ... is a pretty hot take, too.

I've been trying to find a mild water enhancer type thing forgoddamnever and they all have that grossness.

***with regular sugar is fine, too much sugar though (which is why it's good, obviously) everything else is terrible.

These are soooo close to being tolerable, they use allulose. The least disgusting nonsugar product I've found.

Cirkul now has puressence, zero sweeteners of any kind, haven't gotten to it yet.

I think the ship sailed on microplastics, it's too late to start worrying now. But it's not good indeed. The teabags area significant contributor.

I've got one of the glass beaker type infusers. Fancy pantsy.

Now that I saw cirkul has that new series, definitely going to try em
