Yeah I never weighed over 150 pounds until I joined the Navy. Was 161 after boot camp. Stayed that way for about 3/4ths of my time in. Went up to 170s towards the end of my enlistment when I was in transient division waiting on separation paperwork. Stay around 170 til age 30. Ever since then, between loads of night shift and being a lazy sack and the injuries, I'm up to a dead even 200. During my teenage years I had 58kg.
Right now I have 66kg. Obviously I gained more muscle through the years, but my wish it to settle down with 60kg, even if I need to lose muscle for that. My feet joints have been hurting lately. Im sure you would be the first one to buy it.
Yeah, YOU, you sick pervert...
If you didn't know, "Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro" was originally an adult anime/manga.
The writer realised people liked the slice of life scenes and the characters and made a PG manga that is exactly the same as the adult manga except no adult scenes in it. Makes for some.. interesting google results if you go far enough. Nagotoro is the next one in my list
Afania said: » I beat Devil May Cry 2 Decided to finish DMC1 as well. Man, this game is really something special. It's a completely different game from DMC 2-5. DMC 2-5 feels like a freestyle combo focused action game with the goal to score as high style point as possible. DMC1 feels like action horror adventure game and the whole point of the game is to explore a haunted castle with an OP character while the game still try to spook you in the process. It has a sense of immersion that isn't presented in later DMC games. The whole castle is a huge interconnected world. There are various documents in the castle that players can read, which records the life of people who used to live there and various supernatural phenomenon in the castle. Sometimes player open a door then it's back to the old zone that they previously visited. Several future enemy encounters are foreshadowed as players explore the environment. This kind of environment design technique was used in Souls like games decade later, which greatly increase immersion. As the game progresses the castle gets more and more haunted. Which makes this castle felt alive. There are also controversial underwater level that developers took away Dante's mobility and power in a confined space, and oh boy they sure successfully evoke some eerie, uncomfortable emotions that just made me want to get out. Later DMC games slowly evolve into more combo focused action game. Which isn't a bad thing. But I wonder if DMC continued on the horror action game path, would it become "the Dark Soul" or "the Bloodborne" a decade later? Idk, but I sure love DMC1 more than DMC2&3 at least. I wish Capcom can make another game that feels like this. DMC 4 is the last mainline title that I need to finish, since I dropped it years ago after 2hr of playing. But I have a feeling that I wouldn't like 4 as much as 1 and 5..... At best retirement means you have three times the amount of free time and half the income to enjoy it with.
At best. Summer time antics along with BBQ this weekend

I have no idea why Capcom designers in early 2000 liked fixed camera in action games so much. Onimusha also used fixed camera. Ragnarok.Zeig said: » Did the fixed camera still bother you, or have you come to accept it as part of the experience? Well, fixed camera is like beating a dead horse at this point, lol. If it's bad in DMC 2 then it's only going to be worse in DMC1. More so in hard mode when 1) You are forced to fight mobs in very narrow space 2) certain ranged move can hit pretty damn hard in hard mode 3) and those deadly ranged moves came from outside of the camera.... Getting hit because of fixed camera and inverted control in certain on-rail shooting mini games are 2 things that made the game feel having artificial difficulty sometimes. That being said, the environment in DMC 1 is so great that I can ignore the negatives in combat. Because my mind focus on the environment entirely. If I want to play the DMC game with the best combat, I can always go back to 5 and spend another 50 hour in bloody palace. I mostly play DMC 1 for a sense of adventure and it absolutely delivered. Ragnarok.Zeig said: » As for DMC3, while a good game in its own right DMC 3 is one of the most overrated game in the series imo. I beat it during ps2 era and all I remembered was super boring environment with boring puzzles and too much walking and getting lost, when I just want to move to the next room and kill more ***. It tried to mimic the interconnected world in DMC 1 but the environment is not as diverse and immersive as 1. It tried to be more combat focused with deeper combat system but the pacing is dragged down with too much walking. IMO DMC 5 fixed most of the problem in DMC 3 with better pacing between combat. which leaves 3 in a somewhere awkward position: combat isn't as deep and intense as 5 and environment isn't as good as 1. The lack of style switch in the OG is also a negative. But it's the first game that pushes DMC to become what it is today, so I'll give it some credit I guess..... Not if you start building diverse cash flow generation assets(like real estate with good rent, stocks of a good company, bond or profitable IP products) when you were younger. If you don't have a portfolio of cash flow generating assets when you retire then your income will decrease and vice versa. I've seen people's income increased by 7-8 times after they retire only because stock market increased greatly in past a couple of years. The game rule of capitalism greatly favors owning cash flow generating assets but it doesn't favor exchanging your labour time for money. As everyone has limited time in their lifespan, there is a limited amount of money one can make by offering their time for money. You either play by the game rule and benefit or you don't. Movies have officially reached "too big to fail" status. It's a half a billion dollars to make a movie. They literally can't take a risk. Indie films out there killing it though. So there's that. |
