SWTOR is the only MMO I am looking at now, I have guild wars to tide me over and if I really want a FF MMO I have XIV, XI just has lost it's charm to me as a "unique" MMO.

Honestly I think that's part of what made FF7 a great game. Most JRPGs have a fair plot, some even have really good plots, but few make you actually think as much as FF7 did.

Those were dark to begin with though. I'm talking about ones that seem happy, then are suddenly the total opposite. If a game is dark at the beginning, then it's no better than one being bubbly the whole time. I like huge twists.
