All my friends who tried Horizon already left it, because of how dated the game feels to the point of being unplayable (no ***, right?)
Most decided to try another private server: Catseye I personally advised most of them to just go for retail if they felt drawn towards the game and wanna experience what it has to offer (world, lore, story, music, battlefields etc) while having a good time. I watched a guy who's now hitting up retail pretty hard play on Catseye.
Now that Private server is intriguing to me. From the vids I saw, it's almost like a gateway drug to retail. They implemented Trusts and RoE on it, but they're kinda borked compared to retail, but still there. Even Apururu Unity, I think. There's different stipulations to unlocking them because they didn't include Rhapsodies, and I think it's still level 75 locked. You get a free relic for getting 100 in a craft, and then a free anything if you get rank 10 in a nation mission line. Dude I was watching got a Bravura for getting his Alchemy to 100, and then I can't remember which Mythic he went with for the Nation thing. Was funny though, he got them, and then like two recordings later he was like, "I feel like I didn't earn these. If I'm uploading FFXI content at this rate, I should just play retail and earn these." So now he's like 45ish recordings into retail and hit 99 DRG recently, I think. Channel name is ApatheticAJ. ![]() Now to get to 110, cause it's the new age baby, yeehaw! Didn't last there at all I challenged myself to read 200 pages of the technical book i need to read this weekend (2 days)
But its not easy to me to read dozens of pages in one go. After a dozen of pages, my mind starts to divagate, thinking whatever unrelated thing, sometime even without me wanting it. My mind just keep moving without control. Maybe to achieve my lecture goals i need to train my self control first. But i dont even know how to start. The thing I find funny about a lot of the people talking about Horizon in retail streams is "It is the original vision the devs had for the game, a pure experience." And then when I went into a couple Horizon streams they each had at least 10 add-ons on the screen. So pure.

Ok, I just bought Xenoblade 3 to play during my vacation (that will start next 23), if its anything like XB1 and 2, that was 200h purchased doing lots of quests/running that is basically pointless.
I just hope it has better grinding experience than XB2. I really had a blast grinding XB1, not so much on XB2 with so little emphasis on gear. Finished replay of Suikoden III with my brother just in time. He's going back home today.
We only got about 80 or so of the 108 Stars, but it was fun. think AH may be experiencing technical difficulties
just bought some tickets to see Distant Worlds for my bday
edit: ooo it's one of the shows with Susan Calloway too I saw one here like 3 years ago at Carnegie Hall and it was a little underwhelming. They played songs from literally every other FF game except 11.. I was really shocked because I thought the whole thing was created from 11 and then expanded for other FF games.

On one hand, I like the idea of a private server trying to do things a little differently than "just setting it in 2004", but they didn't do a very good job. They didn't take the time to test anything before the server's launch, and now that it's out they refuse to listen to any player suggestions. It's not a sustainable production. Retail isn't perfect, but I would argue it's the best experience of the game. At least it's playable and has lots of content. I'm grateful that there's more to it than just endlessly grinding for EXP. I've already experienced that, thank you very much lol ![]() Just a little throwback to what most consider the pinnacle of yacht racing- the J Class. By the way- the crew isn't just relaxing for a few minutes...their counterweight is necessary to prevent capsizing on tack due to how massive the sail surface and force generated by it is. Bump
Hey Vyre, Rooks. Someone turned off the FFXIAH happy birthday's bot. Please, can you guys fix it? Asked Rooks about it.
Ow man...
Jusz yesterday Ive heard about Twitters competitor Koo. Well, there is no way this one gonna succed here in Brasil. Cause "Koo" sounds very similar to "***" in portuguese. That means, the amount of puns that can be made with this name is incredible high. Like: "hey, can I see you ***?" "Would you share your ***?" "Can I follow your ***" "Can I join your ***?" "Invite me to your ***". I already told those one to my friends. “*** connects millions of people”
Rofl…. Only if its a massive giant human centipede YouTube Video Placeholder omfg its like the ultimate tank now That thread lasted longer than I thought it would
But I missed the end of it Pantafernando said: » Just yesterday Ive heard about Twitters competitor Koo. The reason competing platforms won't work is because humans intrinsically like arguing or discussions with someone with differing opinions, even if they think they don't. For instance people will demand for others they don't like to be removed by authority figures of places they frequent, however when they get what they ask for they will be bored because there is nobody to argue with anymore. We live in a world where there are a million things vying for our attention, when something isn't very interesting it loses its appeal to most people. To use an example, my jack russel loved pulling on his rope toy with me and he gets super angry and vocal about it. Logically an onlooker would tell me to stop pulling it, cause it is making him mad and he seems to not like it. However when I give him the toy and stop pulling it, he loses interest and starts making noises at me to start pulling and hits me on the leg with it. Cause he wants to go at it again, it's fun to him to get worked up. Many people are very similar in reality, and this is why social media platforms and forums with some opinionated people on them tend to be way more active. You will never get a popular replacement for Twitter becasue the replacements will be perfect echo chambers, for right and left and those are boring when the users could just go play a video game or something instead.
