Yeah, the entire world is extremely differe now. People work from home, order food into home, watch movies, play games, etc. As long as you've got a place to live, you pretty much never have to leave it. Even when I see people, it's usually at my own home or, at best, a restaurant lol

Back in the day you'd just meet people by accident. Now you have to go out of your way.

The real winner of Thanksgiving and Christmas is the gravy. Everything else is just an excuse/means to eat gravy: the poultry, the potatoes, the dressing, the buns...

Eating the buns like groceries? That's how you get an infection. It's all a ploy by Big Pharma and Big Butter to push the need for antibiotics.

i wasn't allowed to make anything special or awesome cause my dad only wants the EXACT same turkey and sides we've had for the last 30+ years. which is fair. it is his and only his thanksgiving. in lieu of sides or dessert i am taking two bottles of moet. i hope they can't tell it's store bought =O

EDIT: In all seriousness, Canadians have Thanksgiving in October, while United Statians have Thanksgiving in November. I think the idea is that you're being thankful for the (hopefully bountiful) season-end harvest. Canadians celebrate it a month earlier just because we get frost earlier. It wouldn't make sense for Canadians to celebrate the harvest so long after it happens, nor would it make sense for Americans to celebrate it before they even take crops off.

But what about second edit: I'm not sure how many other countries celebrate specifically Thanksgiving. Though I'm aware it's pretty common for many countries to celebrate after harvest.

So my we had Thanksgiving at my cousin's house this year because the grandparents are just getting too old. My sister and I are standing in the kitchen. She sees something on the fridge and leans towards it to get a better look. I say: "Yep. It's exactly what you think it is". We have a laugh... for five minutes. Check out Kevin Sorbo/Lucy Lawless pic in the bottom right. THEN notice the tiny framed pic of Kevin Sorbo on the top left. He hates hipsters so he isn't doing it to be ironic. I know I used to have a "Mullet'in Board" (giant bulletin board with many pictures of mullets; nearly explains itself with the name) so I can kind of see the humor.

Slaughtered FF1-4 Pixel Remaster and then just found out about this so Gonna give it a shot and I'll let you know if the 'Divine Might' is ours. Hype.

Wow so those pixel remakes actually removed the previous versions from the stores. I loaded mine up and it says if I switch devices its not able to be re-downloaded. What a scam, so you lose the money you spent? While the newer ones probably look better they have less content, for FFV at least. Why would they remove the previous ones

I know it's not what you want to hear probably, but cracked versions of the IOS ports to PC of FFV and FFVI are both available to download on nefarious websites. I can't give links, but a quick google search criteria such as "Final Fantasy V fitgirl" or "Final Fantasy VI PC torrent" will get you to where you need to be. You paid for them, it seems, so I don't see any reason you can't be able to play them just because the digital online storefront took them down.

Why did they do this? Well, first it forces people to buy things again. They also are probably pretty ashamed of how they turned out. The games look beautiful in most cases (monster sprites especially), but the UI is just the worst. The new Pixel Remastered series is likely their attempt to streamline it. Don't even think for a second they won't release "Complete Collection"-like versions of all of these Pixel Remasters later down the road with the GBA and PSP additional content (like postgame dungeons). If there is one thing SquareEnix does well, it's repackage their old ***and sell it as new ***.
