Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Actually, steel's heavier, too. Steel is almost 500 lbs per cubic foot, while concrete is only 150 lbs per cubic foot.
The only reason people use concrete is because it's way, way cheaper than pure steel. If you can use the slurry of rocks and glue to hold together bars of steel instead of using a giant beam made entirely of steel, it's a lot cheaper. You just need to get away with having a bulkier structure, which is fairly easy a lot of the time. Might be.
We should get Mythbusters on this one. They probably got the time to scale everything and figure out just how much weight each of those are lol But steel is heavier than feathers.

Depending on dimensions, a 3'11" length of american standard I-beam can range from 22-474 lbs. So, plausible? Ragnarok.Jessikah said: » Might be. We should get Mythbusters on this one. They didn't, they did "for TV" but they wouldn't know a control if it bit them in the ***. They were a glorious excuse to typically blow ***up and for that it was cool, but they definitely weren't good scientists. There are always mechanics that are doled out in a random order that resolve 1~3 party members at a time, requiring them to get hit in certain ways in specific positions of the fight. There's mechanics that require you to "die." There's boss rearrangement, proximity AOEs, backwards debuff execution, mechanics tied to role, and much more. I don't want to beat a dead horse that has already been resolved.. but.. I would LOVE to see a bot resolve E8S Light Rampant 100% of the time, lol Or to take it to the next level, any Limit Cut mechanics during TEA. If a bot could do that, then yeah, it would legitimize the claim at that point. I doubt it exists though. [edit] Freehugs said: » Not to be gloomy but my cousin did pass away last night. I feel bad that she died but like I said, I was never really close with her so I don't feel much apart from a little sadness. Not really sure what else to think right now. :/ Life goes on for those still here I guess. Even if you don't feel much, I am still sorry for your loss. My condolences. I had gotten a pack of amiibo cards for Zelda, less of a hassle than making them myself and it means I don't have to open anymore of my figures.
If Clow Reid split his soul in two does that mean Sakura and Lee are related?
Pokemon physics talk... we should do more of that. Also someone should revive RT's rival, Linkshell Ni.
I'm not sure if I've ever played a job whose dynamic shifted quite as hard as Corsair's does when it hits Lv.75. Fold, Snake Eye, and Winning Streak make it feel like an almost completely different job.

One of the things I found most interesting at school was the idea behind pre-stressed concrete members. While they're setting in the steel bars, they pull them really tight. After the concrete has cured, they release the tension and the bars pull the beam tightly together. What that does is effectively gets more use out of the compression component of the concrete. You can use a lot less material for an extremely sound product.
But it's terrifying. If the bar lets loose while they're drawing it back, the steel fires off like a rubber band. And if the member ever fails or they dismantle it improperly during demolition, the concrete explodes and the steel whips around. Something awkward about being a mod is it'll show me who posted last, even if it's a deleted post. I saw someone posting in here, got excited to come read it... I can still read it, but no one else can. Q_Q
Curiosity killed the cat but the cheating cat survived
Was it really cheating if you had nine lives? Where the curious cat was the life where they'd forgotten. The two are one in and of the same.
