I ended up with 300 hours of play time on the first and yeh I'm playing as we speak. Imported my character but starting from the beggining of the first one instead of going straight to the second one since it's been forever since I played and want to work into the new additions slowly. Edit: The gathering... you do it all at once now instead of having to do it 5 or 6 times to get all the items :O. I almost needed to change my pants.
Import just get you your character model or do you carry anything else over as well?

Import just get you your character model or do you carry anything else over as well?
Everything you had item wise as well as GR carrys as well. If you restart from the first game you are set to lv1 and if you start from the second game it sets you to lv 35 (130 skill points). You lose the bonus skill points from rebirths which kinda sucks.

You also get to edit your character model if there was anything you wanted to change.
