Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
I had a iPhone 4 for years since the 4's launch and never had a problem with it till last Nov, that being said I'm loving my Motorola Turbo 2
I might be one of the few people who feels the camera isn't really a vital part of my phone and making it better is not a legitimate "upgrade" for a new model for me. If that's the biggest thing you offer me, I'm not impressed.
But that could be the DSLR hobbyist in me speaking. Candlejack said: » With how I turn out to be a beacon for odd paranormal ***, who wants to bet money I won't go into that prison? Picked up stuff for home made lasagna
Dataphones have just gotten so...*** boring.
They're all the same flat piece of plastic with an impressive graphics screen. It's an amazing piece of technology, but it's really lost something individual phones had even six years ago: their own character. From a pragmatic point of view I guess that's really for the better because rather than just having an attractive design, the phone's functionality has to stand out to be a winner (if it's not an iPhone, anyhow). But it also becomes a rut of the same old stuff, just done a little better. Would love to see something new come around, or something old recycled into something new and better. Something like the old T-Mobile Sidekick but way sturdier with additional features and less...teen-oriented marketing. Some how D and I got to talking about pokemon.
Me: ".... THERE'S AN IGGLYBUFF?!" D: "... yes" Me: "IT COMES BEFORE JIGGLYPUFF? WHAT, POKEMON WHAT YOU CAN'T JUST ADD SOMETHING IN BEFORE" D: "What did you think Pichu was?" Me: "IT'S PIKACHU HE CAN BREAK THE RULES" D: "Where have you been the last 14 years?" Me: "Not playing enough pokemon obviously" Bismarck.Josiahfk said: » Sheesh Ramy, getting bored holding the sum of all human knowledge and every song you've ever heard in your life like that Wait what? Edit: Oh. No, I mean, eh. It's actually sort of complicated. I can go into detail if you want, just figured it's something that probably didn't need more digression from me. Just ordered some indian food yumm

Smartphones seem so sterile and boring. They're really powerful tools with a lot of really fun features, but I feel like they're all basically the same at this point. No true design differences, no individuality. Like, I saw a "design" post from an Apple blog that was ripping apart the Samsung...I think it was the Galaxy S5 (it was a while back). And it was like..."The charging port is off center! OH IT'S UGLY COMPARED TO MY SWEET, SWEET APPLE. HIDDEOUS! GET IT AWAY IT BURNS!" And they were very serious. Yet the two phones are, beyond minimal proprietary designs, identical. I view it much like I view cars. Most cars on the market will get you from point A to point B with minimal fuss, in relative comfort, and without falling apart on you. And most have the same features within a relative grouping of options. Yet some of them are just...boring. Toyota's (car) lineup comes to mind. And the Subaru Forester. Very reliable. Very practical. Very boring. Kalila said: » Some how D and I got to talking about pokemon. Me: ".... THERE'S AN IGGLYBUFF?!" D: "... yes" Me: "IT COMES BEFORE JIGGLYPUFF?
