I can truly point out a lot crap FF11 could have handled a lot better. I mean I'm not picking a side here, but even I can see a lot content had huge flaws to it to the point it got horrible really fast.

I could post similar arguments against FFXIV. It has nothing to do with the last page though at all. The guy was just trying to stir up trouble, nothing more than that.

Dyeing your chocobo in XIV is a lot better than in 11 at least.
This is true for your standard GC chocobo at least, for a racing chocobo:

It is. You need just a ATMEGA8 chip and code from that site I linked you a while ago. You can implement a generic 16 input USB HID(gamepad type) device with that code without edit anything in it.
My chocobo in XI was black.

This is a USBasp AVR programmer (left) and a SEGA MegaDrve/Genesis controller to USB adapter I assembled using the code from Raphnet site.
The beauty on these two is that in both devices the USB protocol is controlled through software using the MCU core processing power.
Clever programming makes a 50 cents MCU do something it was never designed to do (connect to a USB bus) and perform the very same task as a 2 USD USB capable chip. The code which makes the AVR chips work on USB ports is free and available at the net.
I use the AVRasp to upload the bootloader into blank Arduinos. (Yeah, you can build your own Arduino compatible boards too)
