think I solved my laptop problem, just running one last scan.
Apparently, I somehow got riddled with viruses within the last 2-3 days, since my last scan on Sunday said I was free and clear.
I run multiple anti-virus/spyware/malware programs, multiple times, to make sure I don't miss something important.
Most of the stuff I found was adware cookie tracking ***.
