Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
I was going through all my stuff yesterday, trying to pick and choose what to keep and what to throw out on top of what to send home early or what to take with me while i travel. I found my windows 7 install disk that came with my Falcon Northwest Mach V i got 2 years ago! I promise i am not now using it to destroy any evidence of windows 8 on my laptop then installing a fresh windows 7 OS onto it >_>

Every time i start the OS it's just painful. Yes it boots to log in super fast, but once you log in it takes like 10 minutes before the OS sorts itself out to be somewhat usable. Windows 8 uses a ***TON of resources and runs beyond slow. there is no start menu, windows button, or any of that stuff we have had for who knows how long. the "start menu" is full of ad's if you're connect to the internet and it takes up the ENTIRE SCREEN!
will stop there, but there is too much wrong with windows 8 for me to even try to force myself to use it

that is not a damn start button. i would screen shot what i am using right now but not allowed to upload from government computers. Also when i click on that "Start Button" it changes the entire screen to the "start menu." sorry but no! windows 8 rubs me the wrong way on way too many levels.

looks like you're using classic shell. I tried that too but honestly i shouldnt have to mod the OS just to be able to use it. and there is still the issue that the OS is unstable and uses a crap ton of memory. I mean i just bought the laptop and even after all the updates and everything else is done, it still runs as if it barely has enough memory in it and i know it does.

well, i already got this laptop nearly ready, just have to do a few more tweeks and i will have an excellent laptop ready to use!
On a side note, chu you might be able to tell me a bit about the new pokemon? what's this i hear about fairy type and it beating dragon type? da fuq?

that might be tolerable but at the same time, when using a laptop at least, one wrong move, one wrong placement of the finger, and i am immediately flung into the start menu. I havent tried to play a full screen game but i can see this easily kicking me out the game. even when i tried to disable those shortcut movement things, it still stuck around.
still, bottom line is this. To each their own. I prefer windows 7 over windows 8. If windows 8 works well for you, then more power too you and i am glad for you ^^

Are people really upset over fairy beating dragon? I don't play but it makes sense to me, and seems like its opposite to me anyways.
makes as much sense as flying beating fighting lol i dont see anything wrong with it :P

I didnt mean to be so negative, i just do not like windows 8. My personal choice. Sorry to sound like i was ranting and stuff

I had NES, SNES, but not N64 or anything like that, so no games on those systems either.
Is it strong against and resistant?
Or is it basically another ice type? None of which can actually go 1v1 against most of the Dragon Types in the series. :|
