Still a crap game though Quiznor said: » To people with360's,fable 3 is now free to download on XBL,in games on demand Still a crap game though I actually liked it a lot to be honest D: Just wish it was longer and didn't just suddenly go "lolThe End." Some places it'll come up as "X price" but press into it and it can confirm for free. I have it downloading now with the intention to never play it,just because its free :D
Well good morning to everyone woke up!

Why is everyone still pink? D: Thought that was only supposed to last a week.

Also it's one of Francis Ford Coppola's films. I knew it was Heart of Darkness... but still, everyone lists it as a must see movie and I don't know why.
Granted Heart of Darkness was one of those books I was supposed to read back in school (dunno if it was high school or college) and never did. I have never seen Apocalypse Now, but I positively detested reading Heart of Darkness. *Makes note to avoid watching Apocalypse Now forever and until infinity comes to a screeching halt*
My dogs and I have a ritual every single Monday. They wake up when it starts getting light, usually a good long while before I'm going to be coming to life. They fidget on the bed and "accidentally" wake me. I panic because I think for sure they are waking me because it's time to get up and my husband forgot to set the alarm. My panicking assures them that it is in fact time to get up. I bellow at them to lay down and check the time. I always have more time to sleep (my husband never forgets to set the alarm.) They lay down like a couple of race-dogs waiting for the alarm to go off so they can bolt. The alarm goes off. They bolt. I get crabby because I wanted to sleep a bit more and hit the snooze, but once they are up I have to get up or we're bound to have accidents on the floor. Every Monday! But every other day of the week it's ok, because I know the alarm is set so I don't panic and they are not assured that it is time to get up. Mutts. Firt time I read it I hated it when I was in HS. Rereading it in college the first time was still painful, the second time was w.e I knew what was coming xD not used to getting up early anymore hnnnng /dead

Rereading it in college the first time was still painful, the second time was w.e I knew what was coming xD Well, to me it's a bit similar to Moby *** in that the entire book is build-up to a catastrophic event. However, Moby *** actually had the catastrophic event. (I mean, the entire book was build up to the very last page, in which everyone dies in about two minutes. It wasn't worth the build-up. But at least the book built up to something.) But unlike Moby ***, Heart of Darkness builds up and up and up... and then ends. And it's darn boring build-up, too. Getting to the end of that book was such a let-down for me. Here I was expecting something to happen, why would we suffer through all the dry, dull details otherwise? And then nothing happened. The End. ;; Odin.Liela said: » Ramuh.Urial said: » Odin.Liela said: » I have never seen Apocalypse Now, but I positively detested reading Heart of Darkness. *Makes note to avoid watching Apocalypse Now forever and until infinity comes to a screeching halt* It's not THAT bad when you get past Conrad's writing style. HoD is great literature because its historic significance and it's meaning stands the test of time. Lots of great literature are absolutely abysmal reads but they hold their value over time. :/ Ramuh.Urial said: » Odin.Liela said: » Ramuh.Urial said: » Odin.Liela said: » I have never seen Apocalypse Now, but I positively detested reading Heart of Darkness. *Makes note to avoid watching Apocalypse Now forever and until infinity comes to a screeching halt* It's not THAT bad when you get past Conrad's writing style. Very few great literature books cross into the great read category. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Of Mice and Men. |
