I thought it was going to be boring as all get out but was happily surprised. I really only wanted to see it because of the graphics.
I tried reading the book and got a lol out of the sloth stuff in the beginning, but it got boring quick. I only watched the movie because I was on a long flight.
Haven't laughed this much since watching Golden Boy. My sides are hurting. The Dragon Quest reference totally caught me by surprise.

My diaphragm is so sore. I can't get comfortable at all. I can deal with sore shoulders and neck. But I'm a stomach sleeper and I can barely roll onto my side.

I don't know how people sleep on their stomach. I can fall asleep on my side, but I need to be on my back to be able to stay asleep.

So... Life of Pi was way better than I was expecting.
