I'm really leaning towards Ron Paul more and more. Let's just do away with the Department of Education as a whole and let education be determined at the state, local and personal levels.
Personally, privatized education seems to be the way to go now. I wouldn't mind a tax write off for those who choose to homeschool (even though I'm not a fan of homeschooling) or send their children to private schools.

I agree with you guys, I find it more embarrassing people can't (a) spell for ***, and (b) can't do simple math very well.
